Lunch Menus are revised at least once per term, and often more frequently than that (1/2 termly).
Menus reflect the 'wishes' of our pupils, and revisions are always made with the input and 'voice' of our pupils.
There is always a balance across the weeks of menu choices/options.
We operate a 'no choice menu' but always with a vegetarian or halal option. This may sound a bit odd, but we feel it is important that IF a child, or their parent on their behalf, has opted for them to have a school lunch that they should have what is being advertised, irrespective of whether they are one 'first' or 'last' sitting.
Our EYFS and KS1 Year Groups have a set lunch time and set places in the Small and Large Halls.
Our KS2 pupils are on a rota; the classes in Years 3 and 4 on their 'a week-at-a-time' rota, sometimes being first, sometimes last and sometimes being 2nd, 3rd or 4th to be called in for lunch; our Years 5 and 6 pupils follow the same pattern but they are always after the Year 3 and 4 pupils in being called in to lunch. Being our eldest pupils, it is recognised that they can wait that little bit longer than the earlier years.
