In our Music lessons, we are learning how to play the recorder. We are also learning how to read music!

This half term, we are learning the skills needed for Orienteering and Cross Country. 

In Science we have been learning about electricity. We have found out about circuits, switches and conductors as well as learning about how to stay safe. 

We have been enjoying finding out about our local area this half term in Geography. We have been learning about maps, symbols and keys. 

Home Learning

• Daily reading and Times Tables Rock Stars (logins for both are stuck in reading diaries).
• Weekly reading tasks on Seesaw. This will be set on a Thursday and due in the following Tuesday.
• EPIC homework.

Reading

Every child should have a reading book. This, as well as their reading diary, should be in school every day. Children should keep record of each time they read outside of school in their diaries. 

Reading diaries will be collected every Friday so we can monitor how regularly children are reading at home. 

P.E

This half term in P.E, we are doing Cross Country on a Tuesday and Orienteering on Wednesday afternoons. Children should come to school in outdoor P.E kit on both of these days. 

Please remember that uniform for P.E is long black trousers or shorts, a white t-shirt, and a pair of trainers.

It is still likely that the grass may be wet during Outdoor PE!  Children should bring spare shoes and socks to change into and take these back home with them at the end of the day.

To help keep the classroom and cloakroom tidy, please don't bring anything other than reading books and diaries, a coat, a water bottle and lunch box to school.
